Lichtenberg hut " de vogels"
Zaterdag hebben we (marjolein en ik) een volle dag in de hut van Arjan Troost gezeten, van 7 to 4 . Het was een dag waar slecht weer werd verwacht, dat hebben wij weer ! de dag ervoor hebben we gefietst in de omgeving zodat we niet in de ochtend 1,5 uur moesten rijden , nu waren we er in een half uurtje wat weer wat slaap scheelde. Onderweg regen en toen we aankwamen even droog. De eerste uren redelijk donker weer en regelmatig wat buitjes. Daardoor hoge ISO ( tussen 4000 en 6400) en lage sluitertijden (80-320) om de plaatjes nog een beetje goed te krijgen. Het was druk met het normale grut maar ook een familie van 7 gaaien en 7 middelste bonte spechten.
De Eekhoorn kwam graag de walnoten van ons ophalen maar had wel een beetje ADHD dus met dat licht nog weinig succes, in de middag werd het beter. Ook hield de reiger ons flink bezig die liep steeds heen en weer en de vogeltjes waren terecht bang voor hem en de eekhoorn vond hem razend interessant. De reiger ving tijdens onze aanwezigheid 3 muizen ( zie ander Blog).
Later op de dag kwam er iets meer licht en kon de sluitertijd wat meer omhoog, zodat we meer keepers hadden.
We hebben helaas geen groene specht gezien ( staat al jaren op mijn verlanglijstje ) en de roof vogels hebben we diverse keren luid roepend in de lucht gehoord maar helaas lande hij niet.
Ondanks het tegenvallende weer en licht wel tevreden over de dag en ook de resultaten. De foto's in deze blog zijn allen gemaakt met de Sony A9 en 200-600 lens.

Saturday we (Marjolein and I) spent a full day in Arjan Troost's cabin, from 7 to 4 o'clock. It was a day where bad weather was expected, we have that again! the day before we cycled in the area so that we did not have to drive 1.5 hours in the morning, now we were there in half an hour, which saved us some sleep. On the way it rained and when we arrived it was dry. The first hours fairly dark weather and regular showers. As a result, high ISO (between 4000 and 6400) and low shutter speeds (80-320) to get the pictures a little better. It was busy with the normal grut but also a family of 7 jays and 7 medium spotted woodpeckers.
The Squirrel was happy to pick up the walnuts from us but he did have a bit of ADHD so with that light little success, it got better in the afternoon. The heron also kept us busy, he kept walking back and forth and the birds were justifiably afraid of him and the squirrel found him very interesting. The heron caught 3 mice during our presence (see other Blog).
Later in the day there was a little more light and the shutter speed could go up a bit more, so we had more keepers.
Unfortunately we didn't see a green woodpecker (has been on my wish list for years) and we heard the birds of prey shouting loudly in the air several times but unfortunately it did not land.
Despite the disappointing weather and light, I was satisfied with the day and the results. The photos in this blog were all taken with the Sony A9 and 200-600 lens.
